Campaign to Suppress Bandits in Southwestern China

During the Campaign to Suppress Bandits in Southwestern China the forces of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) fought a counterinsurgency campaign against the Chinese Nationalist guerrillas, mostly consisting of bandits and regular Nationalist forces not withdrawn from mainland China during the retreat of the government of the Republic of China to Taiwan. The campaign took place after the conclusion of World War II, during the Chinese Civil War in Southwest China.
