Kurukshetra (Hindi: kurukṣetra, pronounced [kʊrʊkʃeːtɾə]) is a historical region in India, also known as Dharmakshetra ("Realm of duty") and as the "Land of the Bhagavad Gita". It also refers to the city Kurukshetra, situated in the area and administrative headquarters of Kurukshetra district in the Indian state of Haryana.
