Lal Krishna Advani (born 8 November 1927) is an Indian lawyer, journalist, politician and statesman who served as the 7th Deputy Prime Minister of India from 2002 to 2004. He is one of the co-founders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a nationalist organisation.
