Law of the People's Republic of China

The People's Republic of China has a type of civil law system led by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Although it has roots in the Great Qing Code and various historical systems, the current legal system reflects the influence of continental European legal systems, especially the German civil law system in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
