Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners
Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) was an alliance of lesbians and gay men who supported the National Union of Mineworkers during the year-long strike of 1984–1985. As of 1985, eleven LGSM groups had emerged in the UK. The original London-based group alone raised approximately £22,500 (equivalent to £70,000 in 2025) in support for strikers.
