The House of Lieven (Latvian: Līveni; Russian: Ливен; Swedish: (von) Liewen) is one of the oldest and most aristocratic families of Baltic-German origin. As such, the family belonged to the Baltic German nobility (in the Duchy of Courland), and later to the Russian and Swedish nobility.
