Lincoln Davenport Chafee ( CHAY-fee; born March 26, 1953) is an American politician who served as the 74th governor of Rhode Island from 2011 to 2015 and as United States Senator from 1999 to 2007. Previously, he served as mayor of Warwick, Rhode Island from 1993 to 1999.
