Lingones

The Lingones (Latin: Lingones; Ancient Greek: Λίγγωνες) were a Gallic people who dwelt on the Langres plateau, around the upper courses of the Seine and the Marne, during the Iron Age and the Roman period. A group bearing the same name settled in Cisalpine Gaul, in the plain of the Po, during the Gallic migrations into northern Italy.
