List of largest banks in the United States

The following table lists the 100 largest bank holding companies in the United States ranked by total assets as of December 31, 2025 per the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council. In the first quarter of 2025, there were 3,917 commercial banks and 545 savings and loan associations in the United States insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) with US$24.5 trillion in assets.
