The Lords Temporal are secular members of the House of Lords, the upper house of the British Parliament. Before the passage of the House of Lords (Hereditary Peers) Act 2026, they consisted of both life peers and hereditary peers, but now is solely composed of the former after the right of hereditary peers to sit in the House of Lords was abolished.
