Lupita Amondi Nyong'o (born 1 March 1983) is an actress who has received various accolades, including an Actor Award, an Academy Award and a Daytime Emmy Award, as well as nominations for two British Academy Film Awards, a Golden Globe Award and a Tony Award. The daughter of Kenyan politician Anyang' Nyong'o, she was born in Mexico City, where her father was teaching, and was raised in Kenya from the age of three.
