M. V. Ramana is professor and Simons Chair in Disarmament, Global and Human Security at the University of British Columbia, and Director of the Masters of Public Policy and Global Affairs program at the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs. == Career == M. V. Ramana obtained his Ph.D. in physics from Boston University in 1994 and was a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Physics, University of Toronto, and the Center for International Studies, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
