Malappuram (also Malapuram) (Malayalam: [mɐlɐpːurɐm] ) is a Municipal Town in Kerala and the headquarters of the Malappuram district in Kerala, India. As per 2011 census, Malappuram municipality spread over an area of 33.61 km2 (12.98 sq mi) with a population of 68,127.
