Max Donald Steinberg (Hebrew: מקס שטיינברג; November 27, 1989 – July 20, 2014) was an American-Israeli soldier in the Israel Defense Forces killed in the Gaza Strip during the 2014 Gaza War. A lone soldier, his funeral in Israel was attended by over 30,000 people, including the U.S. ambassador to Israel.
