Severe weather sequence of May 2–8, 2009

The severe weather sequence of May 2–8, 2009 was an unusually strong sequence of tornadoes and derecho events beginning on May 2, 2009, and continuing through May 8, which primarily affected the Southern United States. At least seven people were killed by the storms.
