Mechano growth factor (MGF, IGF-IEc) is a naturally occurring 24-amino acid peptide which is the C-terminal fragment derived from enzymatic cleavage of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1). It is expressed during muscle repair following physical activity, and has anabolic effects.
