Michael Byron Nifong (born September 14, 1950) is a former American attorney who was disbarred after serving as the Durham County District Attorney in North Carolina. He was removed from this position, disbarred, and briefly jailed following court findings concerning his conduct in the Duke lacrosse rape hoax.
