The Indian Military Nursing Services (MNS) is a part of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) of the Indian Army, originally formed under British rule in 1888. Officers in the MNS (Corps) are granted Short Service Commission initially and can opt for Permanent Commission based on selection and vacancy later, they are commissioned as officers in the Indian Army.
