Missing and murdered Indigenous women in Utah
The epidemic of missing and murdered Indigenous women (MMIW) is not exclusive to any region of the United States, but some states have a higher number of cases. Utah ranked 8th in the United States for the number of missing and murdered Indigenous women, with 24 cases since about the year 2000 according to a report published in 2018 by the Urban Indian Health Institute.
