Mitochondrial theory of ageing

The mitochondrial free radical theory of ageing (MFRTA) proposes that free radicals produced by mitochondrial activity damage cellular components, leading to ageing. The mitochondrial theory of aging has two varieties: free radical, and non-free radical.
