Muhammad's eclipse

An annular solar eclipse, known as Muhammad's eclipse, occurred on 27 January 632 and was visible across parts of East Africa, North Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia, the Far East, and Siberia. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partly obscuring the image of the Sun for a viewer on Earth.
