Muneeswarar (also Muneeswaran, Munisvaran and Muniandi, Muniyandi, Muniyappan, Muni Ayya, Ayya amongst others) is a folk Hindu deity in South India, particularly Tamil Nadu. His name is a combination of "muni", sage or saint, and "ishvara", an epithet or title of Shiva.
