Nāzila

In Islamic jurisprudence, nawāzil (Arabic: نَوَازِل) are collections of historical legal judgements (known individually by the singular form nāzila, Arabic: نَازِلَة). Such collections underpin the practice of fiqh al-nawāzil ("jurisprudence of incidents"), which deals with the normative judgment of specific incidents.
