Naqada

Naqada (Egyptian Arabic: نقادة‎ Naqāda; Coptic language: ⲛⲉⲕⲁⲧⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ Nekatērion; Ancient Greek: Παμπανις Pampanis, Ancient Egyptian: Nbyt "City of Gold") is a town on the west bank of the Nile in Qena Governorate, Egypt, situated ca. 20 km north of Luxor.
