National Reconciliation (Sudan)
Following the 1976 coup attempt, a national reconciliation (Arabic: المصالحة الوطنية) was reached in Sudan on 7 July 1977, where Nimeiri and al-Mahdi signed an agreement that readmitted the opposition in exchange for the dissolution of the National Front. Civil liberties were restored, and political prisoners were released.
