National Transmission Corporation

The National Transmission Corporation (Filipino: Pambansang Korporasyon sa Transmisyon), also known as TransCo, is a Philippine government-owned and controlled corporation established on June 26, 2001 by the Electric Power Industry Reform Act (Republic Act 9136), a corporate entity wholly owned by the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (PSALM), and former originally a child agency of National Power Corporation (NAPOCOR/NPC). It is the owner of and handles cases regarding the country's power grid right-of-way or portions of a power line, and components and their lands where they are exactly located acquired and designated before the turnover of operations, management, maintenance, and eminent domain to the privately-owned National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) on January 15, 2009.
