National Truth Commission
In Brazil, the National Truth Commission (Portuguese: Comissão Nacional da Verdade) investigated human rights violations of the period of 1946–1988 – in particular by the authoritarian military dictatorship that ruled Brazil from April 1, 1964 to March 15, 1985. The commission lasted for two years and consisted of seven members.
