Nautch

The nautch (, meaning "dance" or "dancing" from Hindustani: "naach") was a popular court dance performed by girls (known as "nautch girls") in later Mughal and colonial India. The word "nautch" was a British corruption of "Nach", the Bengali word for dancing.
