New Japan Pro-Wrestling (新日本プロレスリング株式会社, Shin Nihon Puroresuringu Kabushiki-gaisha) (NJPW) or simply New Japan is a Japanese professional-wrestling promotion founded on January 13, 1972, by Antonio Inoki, and based in Nakano, Tokyo. It is currently in the process of becoming a subsidiary of TV Asahi following a share transfer from previous owner Bushiroad to TV Asahi and CyberAgent, which is expected to be concluded on June 30, 2026.
