A Nowheh or Noha (Persian: نوحه nowheh, Urdu: نوحہ; translit. nūḥa/nawḥa; Azerbaijani: Növhə/Нөвһә/نؤوحه), when interpreted in light of Shia views, is an elegy about the martyrdom of Husayn ibn Ali and his family and companions in the Battle of Karbala.
