Nucleus (neuroanatomy)

In neuroanatomy, a nucleus (pl.: nuclei) is a cluster of neurons in the central nervous system, located deep within the cerebral hemispheres and brainstem. The neurons in one nucleus usually have roughly similar connections and functions.
