Occitano-Romance languages
Occitano-Romance (Catalan: llengües occitanoromàniques; Occitan: leng(u)as occitanoromanicas; Aragonese: luengas occitanoromanicas) is a branch of the Romance language group that encompasses, in the narrowest sense, the Catalan/Valencian and Occitan languages spoken in parts of southern France and eastern Spain, with Aragonese also occasionally included. The classification of Occitano-Romance languages within the wider Romance language family has been a subject of a long-standing debate due to its transitional nature in the Western Romance dialect continuum.
