Operation Israel Guarantees (Hebrew: מבצע עולים הביתה, romanized: Mivtza Olim HaBeita, lit. 'Operation Homecoming') is an operation initiated by the Israeli government in 2022, to get Jews from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus to immigrate to Israel following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. == Background == On February 24, 2022, Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, announced a general declaration of war against Ukraine (a special military operation), with the aim of occupying all or parts of Ukraine.
