Palestinian stone throwing

Palestinians have thrown stones as a tactic with both a symbolic and military dimension when used against heavily armed troops. It has also been described variously as a form of traditional, popular protest guerrilla tactic or action, or a tactic of civil disobedience which came to prominence during the First Intifada.
