Panda diplomacy (Chinese: 熊猫外交) is the practice of sending giant pandas from mainland China to other countries as a tool of diplomacy and wildlife conservation. From 1941 to 1984, the Republic of China and then the People's Republic of China (PRC) gifted pandas to other countries.
