Paucimannosylation

In biochemistry, paucimannosylation is a type of enzymatic post-translational modification that attaches simple carbohydrate chains (glycans) to proteins. These "paucimannosidic" glycans primarily contain mannose (Man) and N-Acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc), and may be further modified with other monosaccharides like fucose (Fuc) and xylose (Xyl), depending on the species and tissue.
