The Baháʼí Faith began in Persia during the 19th century with the coming of the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh. These two prophetic figures each came with a specific mission, the Báb’s being to prepare the way for a Promised One expected by all the world’s religions, and Bahá’u’lláh’s to inaugurate a new era in which humanity will live as one united family.
