Petalism

Petalism (Ancient Greek: πεταλισμός, petalismos), was an ancient Syracusan variant of ancient Athens's ostracism, wherein a citizen was temporarily removed from the city and public life. It was first and exclusively recorded in Diodorus Siculus's Bibliotheca historica.
