Philippine revolts against Spain

During the Spanish colonial period in the Philippines (1565–1898), dozens of revolts against the Spanish colonial government were made by Indios, Moros, Lumad, Chinese (Sangleys), and Insulares (Filipinos of full or near full Spanish descent), often with the goal of re-establishing the traditional rights and powers of their respective communities. Some revolts stemmed from land disputes, most of which transpired in the agricultural provinces of Batangas, Ilocos sur, Cavite, and Laguna.
