Phosphotransferase

In biochemistry, phosphotransferases are enzymes that catalyze phosphorylations (addition of inorganic phosphate, abbreviated P, to some substrate). A−P + B ⇌ B−P + A Two kinds of phosphotransferases are kinases where ATP donates P and phosphorylases where inorganic phosphate is the P donor.
