Phycotoxin

Phycotoxins (from Ancient Greek φῦκος (phûkos) 'seaweed' and τοξικόν (toxikón) 'poison, toxin') are complex allelopathic chemicals produced by eukaryotic and prokaryotic algal secondary metabolic pathways. More simply, these are toxic chemicals synthesized by photosynthetic organisms.
