Piedmont Atlantic megaregion

The Piedmont Atlantic megaregion, or Southeast Megalopolis, is a neologism created by the Regional Plan Association for an area of the Southeastern United States that contains parts of the states of Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina. The region includes the Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Nashville, Raleigh–Durham, Greenville–Spartanburg and Greensboro–Winston-Salem metropolitan areas.
