The Polytechnic (Greek: Πολυτεχνείο) is the traditional name for institutions of higher education in Greece, dealing with engineering at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. There are currently two polytechnics that operate as independent (public) universities and five polytechnic schools that belong to universities.
