Portuguesa State (Spanish: Estado Portuguesa, IPA: [esˈtaðo poɾtuˈɣesa]) is one of the 23 states of Venezuela. Located in the west of the Republic, it is often considered the "breadbasket of Venezuela" for the large amount of agricultural products produced there.
