Presidency of Millard Fillmore

Millard Fillmore's tenure as the 13th president of the United States began on July 9, 1850, upon the death of President Zachary Taylor, and ended on March 4, 1853. Fillmore, the last Whig president, had been vice president under Taylor prior to succeeding the presidency.
