The Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act (PAFACA), is a United States federal law passed by the United States Congress and signed into law by President Biden on April 24, 2024, banning social networking services within 270 days defined as a "foreign adversary controlled application" if the president deems them a national security threat, with a possible 90-day extension. The act explicitly applies to ByteDance Ltd.
