The Qasimid State (Arabic: الدولة القاسمية), also known as the Imamate of Yemen, was a state in South Arabia which was ruled by the Imams of Yemen. It was founded by Imam al-Mansur al-Qasim in 1597, absorbed much of the Ottoman-ruled Yemen Eyalet by 1628, and then completely expelled the Ottomans from Yemen by 1636.
