RMS Hesperian
RMS Hesperian was a British ocean liner that was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-20 85 nautical miles (157 km; 98 mi) south west by south of the Fastnet Rock in the Atlantic Ocean on 4 September 1915 with the loss of 32 lives, while she was travelling from Liverpool, United Kingdom to Montreal, Canada. == Construction == Hesperian was launched for the Allan Line at the Alexander Stephen and Sons shipyard in Glasgow, Scotland on 20 December 1907, and completed the following year.
