Religion in Greece
Religion in Greece is dominated by Christianity, in particular the Greek Orthodox Church, which is within the larger communion of the Eastern Orthodox Church; moreover, the Greek Constitution recognises Eastern Orthodoxy as the "prevailing" faith of the country (though in practice Greek lawmaking isn't influenced by religious dogma and most Greeks aren't very religious), the Greek constitution while guarantees freedom of religious belief for all. It represented 81 to 90% of the total population in 2022 and is constitutionally recognized as the "prevailing religion" of Greece.
