Romanian withdrawal from the European Union

It has been proposed that Romania withdraw from the European Union (EU), this sometimes being known as Roexit or Romexit (with both being portmanteaus of "Romania" and "exit"). The proposal does not have widespread popular support, with a 2022 poll for instance showing only 25.2% of Romanians would vote for leaving the EU while 71.1% would vote against.
